Jason Hayes serves as Director of Government Relations for the Nebraska State Education Association, leading policy and legislative efforts while managing the government relations team and lobbying. He specializes in public pension plans, education, and constitutional law. Additionally, Hayes is an adjunct professor at Doane University, teaching political science, paralegal education, economics, and financial management since 1999. His past roles include Chief Deputy State Treasurer, Assistant State Attorney General, Agency General Counsel, and Legal Counsel for the Nebraska State Legislature. A licensed attorney and dispute resolution mediator in Nebraska, Hayes holds a business management certificate from the University of Nebraska. He is a member of the Nebraska Advisory Committee for the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights and serves as Section Chair for the Government Practice Section of the Nebraska State Bar Association.
